Gearbox Fitting

I have a BRAVO 1.4 12V the gearbox is f***ed. I have been phoning around the scrap yards and have been quoted £195 with 4 months warrenty does this seem a good price? Also has anybody fitted a gearbox to a 1.4 and what kind of job is it.

it's a bitch of a job mate, my cousin's hubby done the clutch on there 1.4 & he said never again, next time it's going into the garage, & this from someone who puts 2ltr cav engines in corsa's.

How long did it take him to do it mate?

no idea how long it took but he did say something about the rear bracket being a pain & he had to take the box out again as he never put it in straight.
