Hi, I got the cables, or at least I hope they are. They did state for start stop which this car is and when I stripped everything back there’s a spring type mechanism on the cable for left to right.

It’s the other cable that has snapped, up and down but if I’m replacing these then I need to do as a pair.

Has anyone done this before and is this spring type mechanism just for the ballpoint that connects to the stick?

Looks like i've been sent the wrong cables. It's the plastic bit that denotes the start / stop fitment i belive and they send me non start / stop.

This is the listing, annoyingly the seller seems to have changed the title and removed the start stop part but they have kept the picture on there that will only fit the start / stop application.

Thata not to say they sent the wrong item?
Yeah, they look to have sent the wrong thing. I’ve just noticed from your pic and the one that arrived there is the green end on one cable. The ones they sent has just the round steel ball / rose joint.

Thanks for confirming, hopefully they pick up my message soon and in the meantime I’ll continue to contort myself around the car’s interior. They aren’t built for tall guys rooting around in the cabin!
