Would love a full respray on my punto gt2 and the boot smoothing properly! I live in the north west area, can anyone recommend anywhere & how much it would cost roughly?

My boyfriends also just got himself a uno turbo ie & is after some work doing! :)

Yeah thought of this as someone i know does that! Tempted as i wouldnt have to change colour with the dvla would i with it only being wrapped & not a respray?? Ill check out that site thankyou :)

i strongly recommend not having the car wrapped, it is not cheaper!

my mate had a clio wrapped which cost him pretty much the same as having the car resprayed.
the problem though is where they cut the film while on the car, if not done carefully they cut the paint and water gets in and causes little rust lines.
that and it doesn't last no where near as long as they tell you.

Ill have to check both to see how much they are then work out what to do. If i had a full respray i would obvs have all the hassle of changing colour with the dvla etc. My car isnt in need really, but would love it doing!

dont think the GT will ever be treated as a classic perhaps in the same way as the coupe or Uno turbo.

changing colour with DVLA is easy. it wouldnt put me off a change of colour.

personally i would go for a full respray if the car needed tidying anyway especially if the tidying was dotted about all over the car rather than one panel with some rust bubbles for example. also youd need to plan on keeping the car for sometime if you want to get the most value from a respray. its a big commitment and you will lose your car for at least a week. i was quoted £400 on my punto (which I thought was cheap but it was apparently mates rates so i agreed) that turned into £850 in the end which was nearer the figure I had in mind.

wrap is quick but ive no idea what the cost is for a full wrap. cheese and egg wrap at Maccie D's is 99p though -hmm nice.

if you respray and colour change then consider the option of full doors off windows out inside and out job or yuou will have one colour inside where any metal shows and another colour on the outside.....same with the boot and engine bay but would you want to remove the engine just to paint inside the bay to match your new colour? going this route your probably into £1,000s.not worth it on a punto unless youre minted.
