My brava has had some starting problems and yesterday we had to tow it home. Starter engine and all work but there wasn't any smell of fuel. Some three hours later it started like nothing had ever happened (I didn't drive it at all, just started it) and 2 hours later I intended to add some fuel to the tank. Upon opening it sucked a great deal of air into the tank and the tank popped some 3-4 times.

Now for the actual question. Is the replace air intake for the tank at the cap or where and is it cleanable/fixable without major disassembly of bodyparts?
I assumed it was on the cap but it's clean (but theres some holes but Im not sure about it) :(

(PS It has done this before but this is the first time we discovered the actual problem, I hope)

The air holes are on the tank cap, the underside, the one that has holes can be removed and under it there is a spring that opens a valve when the vacuum is created. In most cases I heard when that happened new cap was bought.

Just to add, some vacuum is normal on high temp, but not popping of the tank.
