Hi! New to the forum and my first question.
I’ve got a -79 127 1050 CL with a rusty fuel tank. In my search for a replacement I came across fuel tanks for diesels, fiorinos and panoramas, but no tanks for the standard petrol hatchback. Are there big differences between the tanks for the dfferent variations? In the cases where there have been pictures on tanks for sale, I think they look similar in shape and hose connections/sender unit location, to the one I got.

Thanks//Jesper

Others will have better advice, but I suspect van versions would be different due to a flatter floor layout, diesel of the same model should only be a case of it having a return pipe if lucky.
The other thing is where the filler neck is positioned.
Any chance of a specialist repairing yours, or cutting it open and fitting a smaller tank inside made of stainless steel, I know some marine specialists make odd shape tanks to fit in boats.
The last Fiat 127 1050CL I worked on was around 1990 for one of my customers, so too long ago to remember what it may have looked like tank wise.:)

I think I could repair mine myself if I need to, as it’s not all that bad, but it would be much nicer to swap it out for an unrepaired unit if I can find one.
In the case of diesel return pipe I belive it’s located in the tank gauge sender, just as the petrol version, as it also have a return line.
In the case of panorama and fiorino, the tank maybe have different shape, as the rear overhang are bigger than the hatchback. But as I mentioned, on pics they look very much the same🤔
