Hello, has anyone had any issues with the 2.8 idtd fuel pump skipping timing?

I changed the timing belt on mine last week everything went as expected, span the engine over a few times fine locking pins went back in as they should. However on my way to an MOT yesterday half way there and I got it up to what would have been full power (4.5k revs) and it lost power and started smoking a lot. After some inspection it turns out the fuel pump is out of time which the only reasonable explanation is it's move when at full power 😳 The belt was taught on the non tensioned side when I changed the belt so I'm baffled!

Also may be unrelated but I've driven 6 miles since changing the oil and the oil was still completely golden. I'm wonder if an oil pump issue caused the fuel pump to skip on the belt if thats even possible? 🤔 I do intend to do an oil pressure test when I get the van back

Maximum power for both the 2.8idTD and 2.8JTD is at 3600rpm.
Maximum speed for the 2.8JTD is 4200rpm. I would expect the maximum speed for the 2.8idTD to be similar.

Well I was above max power but only just over 50 mph. Any idea about the resr of my post?
