Hi again,

I have a small problem with my HGT.
Sometimes i got the warning lamp for Fuel Injection,
i have not yet got a grip when it happends.
I first thought it was when the engine was cold,
but it has also happend after more then an hours driving.

I also thought it happend after red lights (you know what happends when you are starting from a red light with a HGT :p )
But its not always happend when i accelerate fast.

Please advice a noob :D

Sidenote:
Sometimes i got the feeling that i'm out of gas even tough i got half tank, the car is make one or two "jumps" (like out of gas) when i'm speeding faster then 140-150 km/h. Could this have something to do with the Fuel injection?

Is your car a 147 or 155 HGT? Either way, it may be due to the potentiometer wiring. If you look up under the dash on the drivers side, on top of the throttle peddle there is a round item with wires coming out of it - that is your throttle pot. Follow the wires along to the first connector block. Make sure that these wire arent stretched and that the block is secure. This is a common fault on the HGT's and is quite often seen after a hard accleration for obvious reasons!

Thanks for the advice, ill check it, i also found this on the net.

Fuel Injector Light 1
It may not be the injector at fault.
Temperature Switch
The temperature switch on the injector may be faulty.

Fuel Injector Light 2
Plus Misfire
Dirty Injector
Add Redex Super Concentrate Injector Cleaner and fill up the tank with Esso Super Unleaded. Drive hard as possible for a short distance and it should start to improve.

Fuel Injector Light 3
Plus loss of power
Injector
The likelihood is that one or more of the injectors had seen its last mile. The best advice we can give on this is to change them all at the same time otherwise you will get irregular running.

I am pleased someone reads my web site then!

I wouldnt use redex though in hindsight as we have found its s**t compared with Forte Fuel System Cleaner - if you can get it. We sell it at £10 a go, try your local garages as its not usually on sale to the genereal public.
