Has anyone else had this problem?
I have a new motorhome on an X250, the fuel consumption computer does not work properly. On both trip A and trip B the consumption fluctuates wildly. the readings are almost instantaneous readings. the trips are both showing over 300 miles, the trip times and distances seem correct but the consumption is pants, it goes up and down as I go up and down hills with the mileage on the trips the consumption indicated cannot be accurate. sometimes as low as 8 MPG sometimes as high as 80 MPG (I wish!!)

Dash mpg readings are meaningless anyway its just a guesstimate all they're good for is getting the wife to drive in the right gear :D

There are actually two figures. What you describe is the momentary consumption, but there is also trip average.
Both are calculated from the injection duration. They are not quite accurate because there is an upper and lower limit, but they give a good idea of the amount of fuel used.

when I start off I get 24+ mpg after I have been on the road for a bit it down to 21mpg all the time its the same
