Whats the crack with these, ive noticed a few companys selling front coil overs and rear springs and shocks as a kit for the mk2`s, any one running this set up? what is like, i was just looking at a kit and it was 50mm rear and 20mm\80mm rear

a coilover kit for any punto is just that: 2 coilover units for the front, and shocks and springs (together with spring height adjusters) for the back.

this is because the rear suspension design on the rear is not independant, and uses seperate springs and shocks, so you cannot actually have proper "coilovers" on the rear.

usually you still have adjusters that you can adjust the height with though.

i have spoken to a few mates of mates and they said that before janspeed sell any product it gose under rugoruse testing, and after reserch i found some were that for a time they ran this type of coilover on there skyline track cars and noticed improvments, but improvements to what i dont know, i mean they are probs a improvement to standered suspension but a down grade from (for example) FK`s

well you summed it up pretty well i think.

the thing is, even FK is a budget brand compared to Weitec, Koni, Tein, etc (although for a road car FK still rock)

i say for the price you cannot possibly go wrong, if all youre after is adjustability.

well the main reason it i bent a front shocker(stupid pot holes) and i think the rear ones are a little soft for the job in hand, and i was going to just get a spring and shock kit for the front and back then came across these, worst comes to worst and they are cack im sure i will find some little chav near to were i live that will buy them for some stupidly over priced amount, slam the front the full 80mm and rip his front end of on the first speed bump he comes across lol

that kit has a 35mm rear drop. i emailed them... lol. im thinking about getting the same kit. its a good price and i think some people get abit snobby about the kit they use. granted you get what you pay for and the more expensive stuff will be better in the long run but it depends if you want to do track days.. or just after the 80 drop :)

i know im gona get a load of stick for that comment but if you want a super duper amazing top of the range suspension then you'l need to pay for it...

i have heard good things about janspeed too. better rep' than jamex and gmax etc from what i have read on tinterweb.

hope this helps
