A.

Q. Can I blank off my EGR valve?
A. Yes, however you will need to find a garage to delete the EGR valve from the ECU otherwise it will just flag up errors. There are sensors which measure the flow of gasses through the EGR valve, these also control the fuel/Air mixture so if you try and blank it off without removing it from the ECU you'll get errors and more than likely a rough running engine.

Note: MultiECUScan can't delete the EGR valve

Q. How can I remove and clean my EGR valve?
A. Check out this post over on Alfa Owner, there is a rather good guide on removing, stripping down and fixing an EGR valve: http://www.alfaowner.com/Forum/alfa...ix-the-egr-valve-1-9jtd-pdf-instructions.html
(Please note this guide is for the 1.9 16v Diesel and may differ on other engines.)

Q. I would like to remove my DPF, how do I do this?
A. Well first of all if you are in the UK it is now law for an MOT center to test for a DPF, if your car was built with one and it has been removed it will fail its MOT (source: https://www.gov.uk/government/news/new-rules-for-mot-to-test-for-diesel-particulate-filter). If you live outside of the UK double check your country doesn't have a law similar to the UK. If it is legal to have the DPF removed then you should seek expert advise, there is plenty of companies out there who can provide you the service of removing a DPF.
