I WANT I WANT I WANT.

should allow me to roast a Civic Type aRse. and a bloody Skoda Fabia VRS tractor.

Ive been looking at the bilstein sprintline kit and was thinking of buying eibach progressive springs as well - but then i'll have the bilstein springs left!

dont know what to do with my Bravo anymore tbh - its shortcomings are more than the 1.6 model. Has been reliable though and still only has 38K miles on it which compared to ALL HGTs on autotrader is the lowest. Also in a straight line it is quite quick - a Chrysler crossfire coudnt overtake me on a 2 mile dual carrigeway :)

Ive found that the brakes are dissapointing though.
Corners no better than mothers old M reg Diesel Astra. Its a far rougher ride and yet rolls more!!!

The 1.6 is 140kg lighter than the HGT, and most of that is the engine.

The 5 pot is a VERY heavy lump.

I'm lead to believe the bilstein springs are pretty good. I'd like a stiffer rear ARB but they are darn expensive.

Eibach do an anti-roll kit that i beleive has a rear brace, would that not help you??

perhaps the difference in handling with just the rear will justify the price anyway?

At over £300.... First step would be to lower the car, get the roll centre closer to the ground.

surely eibach alloy spacers can help too.

what will they do to the handling? - i'm guessing heavier steering.

also i wanted the eibach springs as they are considered to be the best and they lower 30mm rather than 50mm of the bilteins which is too far for me.

having said this i wonder what the KW coilovers are like apart from being expensive.

Spacers **** up your steering geometry, you get bad bump steer, bad tramlining etc...

The bilstein kit lowers 40mm.

There is only 1 problem that i can see with this...

Where does it fit? (Boot?..lol)

very good point mate. i only have a 1.8, and i couldn't fit that in my engine bay. god knows where it goes on an HGT

Believe me, i am in the process now (not right now as i am typing but i am having a 5min brake) of fitting my HGT engine! and the only way you could fit that is if you removed your fans and radiators!

You would then have to root them infront of the cross member etc etc ,,,,basically it aint happening unless you have thousands to through at it! might aswell fit the coupe lump!cheaper and more tuneable....

What, in fittinf a coupe 20vt lump! are you joking? there is loads of fun in that!220bhp + as much as you dare...

If you put a supercharger on the standard HGT engine you will blow it apart, or you will have to uprate all the internals which will cost mega £££...just get a 20vt lump....much easier!

Paul R

hello RR havent misssed you!

And a Bravo with a 20vt lump would kill a civic typeR!!! in standrad trim! turn the boost up etc and you will be left miles behind!
