General found my windows open this morning!!!!

Went to the car this morning only to find both front wondows fully opened...and with it being snowing it was not a pretty sight??? i think i might have lent on the remote central key and opened the windows that way...my question is can this be turned off??? as this time i was lucky nobody was away with anything

There's probably a software fix, I don't think there's a way to turn it of in the car itself.

Was the car locked or unlocked?

Had the same thing happen to me TWICE!

Come out one morning and all four all the way down! luckily no theft or rain.... another time it happened at a car show..

Had the dealer "reset" the windows ... but that was before the second time... think its sensitive to radio disturbance ?!

both time I am quite sure that I didnt touch the remote!

This happened to me in december. After my football match i went to my car and found all 4 windows down and doors unlocked. Its the first time for me. I will mention it when i take it for my 2nd service. When you hold the unlock all the windows go down not just the front two.

Not if you've got an Active. Only the fronts are electric.

hapened to me too, several times. The rear right-side window.
The dealer had to disconnect the window, until they changed the electrics in that door under warranty.

Yes, just keep the unlock button on your key pressed until the windows open.

Try unlocking and locking it manually with the key in the barrel a few times, then leave it and see. If it still unlocks itself it may need a new door catch.

I would take the car to a Fiat dealer, they will probally be able to turn that feature off with their computer. I know for a fact that (if you ask them) they can switch off the annoying "seatbelt unfastened" bonging noise.

Aye I did it bit of a pointless show off trick for the summer isnt it lol and it'll wear your fob down, much easier to close the windows with the one touch before you get out..

A safety feature... the window will go back down/stop when theres a object in the way (like someones neck ) between the top of the glass and door frame.

Also found the windows open one night while working at a friends house , only happened the once , so far ! If you happen to lock the doors using the remote and your windows are down , keep pressing the lock function and the windows will close without having to turn on the ignition ....
