You know every now an again you pick up a sweet, cake, manufactured product that has been given a face lift and new packaging always seems to get smaller :(

Mr Kipling Chocolate chip cake bars have done just that, again. The shape of the cake has changed, weight has reduced by 4g (28>24g) chocolate content reduced (23>22%) ingredients changed and most importantly, taste has changed and there less filling imo.

Just thought ad share lol

Noticed that myself with some of Asda's products. Often get their Smart Price biscuits and the repackaging over the past few months has resulted in smaller products and a bit of a dip in the taste department. Yeah, they're Smart Price, but I still like them

If food's getting smaller then why am I getting larger... :(

My theory on this is that I eat more cos the less product doesn't satisfy any longer lol

We primarily buy the supermarkets own brand of varying levels of quality, tesco value & aldi jaffa cakes are the bees knees compared to the original branded product. Mr Kiplings are normally £1 a pack or 2 for £2 (same thing lol) so we often buy them. Always keep an eye on the offers as there not always as cheap as they make out

biscuits are a ridiculous size now

a blue ribband is about a 5th of the size it was 10 years ago

then they have the cheek to say "now with less calories"

no wonder you swindling ****s, the biscuits smaller! thered be something very wrong if it was the same as it used to be when it was half the size

clubs are another, remeber the old advert...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bPdklroCc3k

how about swapping that around? if you like alot of biscuit with your chocolate join our club, you get more chocolate on a cadburys button than you do on a club nowadays, and they are smaller too

Wagon wheels used to be so big they were the size of a dvd, now they are smaller than a rich tea, they also now taste gash to boot

Ah forgot about calories, think they had reduced considerably, down to a fat club friendly 108 calories iirc which could be the same as a 2 finger kit-kat.

Ah yes, that'll do it.

I try not to buy biscuits or cakes as they never satisfy - well except for Lidls cherry flavour jaffa cakes which are gorgeous but I try not to buy them as I can never stop at just one. Mmnnnnnn, cherry flavour jaffa cakes... thank goodness the nearest Lidl is 15 miles away :D

Want something sweet now - I should probably stay out of this thread
