just over a year ago I put a new battery on to my ducato, even after charging for a day two days later it’s flat, does this really sound like a battery problem or something draining my battery, even though nothing seems to be on.

Two things, when you reconnect battery terminals do you you get a spark, a small one is the system recognising the connection, bigger is more to worry about.
An accurate way to test is with a amp meter in series between the battery lead and post, once it has settled down it should have a drain of less than .2 of an amp. Do not turn the ignition key/starter when amp meter is connected unless you want to buy another!!!
Another easy way to test the battery is to fully charge it so you know it will start the vehicle, then leave the battery disconnected for the same few days, then reconnect the lead and see if it will restart. This\will prove if system on vehicle is at fault.
Failing all that take the vehicle to auto electrician to test battery.
I bought a cheap Ring battery tester that you enter battery details and click return and tool tells you what % of original battery capacity is left and whether a good charging will fix it or it is scrap.

Italics do not aid help my old eyes to read your post. Please do not let this become a habit.
You have not included any vehicle details, as requested in welcome message at top of Ducato section.
What is the rated output current of battery charger used? If for example only 3A it would take more than a day at maximum output to fully recharge a typical 100Ah Ducato starter battery.
