Hi All
I am hoping someone will be able to help me with this one! I have a 1999 2.8 idTD and I am having trouble with the "Flame Start Relay". The van starts after a few cranks but a few weeks ago the glow light went into blink mode for a short while. I know this indicates a problem but I was horrified to find out the cost of a new relay £249,99 (criminal) I need to find out how to test the relay to make sure that it is relay that has a problem. Have allready tested the the plug itself and that seems to be ok although no live feed to it from the relay Does anyone know if there is an in line fuse anywhere behind the dash or anywhere else. There is a fuse in the fuse box 7.5 and that hasnt blown. Just wondering if anyone would know if it could be something else

You don't need flame starter it only comes on at freezing temperatures and the van will start just find even at -15C without it.
