Hi guys, newbie from the Philippines here. I would want to install alloy wheels on my .45 how do I go about this?

So given that I have found a 15 inch 38 offset wheels with a 98 PCD. (hard to find here) and 195/45 r15s can I still use the bolts? or do I really have to restud? Help would be very much appreciated. Thank you.

If you've got steel wheels you need to get new longer bolts i think. And maybe spacers to stop the front wheels rubbing on full lock.

With the 15's, they alter the speedo by about 3% - so when your speedo says 60 mph, you'll be doing nearly 62.

Also with 15's, the extra torque needed to turn them round does slow the car quite a bit (on the uno 45 - cant say from experience, but thats what i heard).

Straight swap for the uno turbo tho :)

dunc,

The car still sports steel wheels. theres two pins that guides the steel wheels in. I mite have to cut it off.

Luke,

Swap? I would if there was an engine found locally. Let alone parts are scarce in this part of the world :( thanks for the advices though. Will keep you guys posted once I fit the wheels.

ahh, i didnt mean swap the engine :) i meant the wheels are a straight swap on an uno turbo becuase they are already setup to have bigger wider wheels

Dunc,

Oh really? thanks for the tip. additional q's. Would I be having a problem with any part of the fender or under wheel wells rub with the tires? if I put in 195 45 r15's? thank you.

 If it’s the Guide pins I’m thinking of (one for each wheel), the rear ones hold the drum in place, so they will need replacing.

I think my second Uno had flat bolts instead of guide pins at the front.

Don’t forget to use plenty of penetrating fluid to help loosen them off if you do need to replace them ;)

Regards All,

Thanks for the tips Dunc and louie. I think I'll stick with the steel rims :D just kidding. :D
