how to fit an amp? had last one done by car audio shop. gonna attempt to fit it myself. iv got all wires and its a 4channel 1000watts. so where would i start and/or where can i find out how to put one in.

iv got a sub that im wanting to put in and either my 220watt 6x9s, 200watt 13s in the side shelves or my 280watt 17s in my doors. what would be best?

run power wire from battery to where you are going to mount your amp through cabin remembering to put fuse near battery

run earth wire to amp, there is a good screw under the rear seat

run switch wire and rca's from headunit, if yor head unit has front and rear or sub out run 2 sets or rca's

run wires from your speakers

plug it all in and off you go.

I swapped my amped JBL 6x9s for an amped 12" sub and amped 5.25" front door components, the quality is much better, the bass is deeper, however it lacks mid range and is no louder than the 6x9s.

i would go for a sub in the boot and 6.5" front door components all running off your amp. Personally i would put some amped rear speakers in too, 6.5" or 8" maybe, just to fill the back in. But i do like music from the back in a car for some reason.

I find it's very hard to get a good sound in a car, which is really really annoying!
