How do you get the original air filter housing out of a 1600 bravo. Does it involve removing the N/S front wheel + arch liner, as it seems a bit to big to get out from above.

had the same prob on my 1400cc bravo. left it in mate..... If you really want it out just take a still saw to it. that'll remove it no end......

filter housing.

Yes. Remove N/S wheel and arch housing and pull the bugger out. I did this with a pal of mine when we fitted a K&N air filter and wanted to drill some holes in the bottom of the air box (to get more air in).Took 2 of us about 40 minutes.

Cheers

Ta mate, save me trying to cut it out, as I want to keep the o.e stuff for when I sell the car.

scrape

if i where u i,d upgrade to a proton.maximum respect and a right bird puller.westside.

Re: Cheers

Al, Leave the old air box there if possible as it will be feeding cold air to your filter.

Thats the entire point of an air filter to get as much cold dence air as possible in to your engine.
