Yup I'm old and skint and happy with my basic green 2000 Punto.

Had many laughs reading stuff on this forum over weekend, ta. And gained huge confidence that I'll be able to maintain my Punto on the cheap.

Posted a question in the Punto forum.

Oh yeah, just thought of another. Offside rear tyre's worn on outer edge - is that indicating damage to stub of axle?

Cheers (y)

Welcome to the forum (y) Your not that old:confused: I am older and there are people older than me  enjoy yourself and don't forget to visit the event forum and get your name down for a few events/meets. :slayer:

Aha, hadn't thought of that Dave. Worn one needs replacing anyway, and I'll discover soon enough if there's a problem.

Loved my old ZX, felt I could relate to it, faults and all. Thought we shared some wisdom and experience. My shiny new(er) punto seems so, er, new! It's parked over cobbles that were laid long ago for a horse powered haulage contractor, right next to the path of Hadrian's Wall, watched over by Harry, who's 77, and it glitters...

Soon put some dents in it, I'm sure.

Ha! I wonder if Severus, the African Civil Engineer who built the wall for Hadrian, thought of building it wide enough to drive a Punto along?

Can Punto's Time Travel?

Would like to have mine ferried over the Tyne by some Iraqi boatmen, courtesy of Hadrian.

Thanks people for the welcomes to the forum (Roman word that) :)
