My name is Eli Vande Voorde and I've just joined your forum today.
I live about 25 miles south of Corvallis Oregon - not a lot of Fiats in the vicinity. I've been a fan of micro cars my whole life but except for some Ford Festivas (do they qualify?) I never have been able to partake. I came across a 1960 Fiat 600 project and bought it in a weak moment and am doing some research to see if I want to invest the time and money into getting it back on the road.
It has no engine or clutch, the windshield is cracked and one rear side window is gone. One rear side panel is going to need to be replaced and the floor pan is a spiderweb of rust held together by habit. There are scraps of upholstery, all the seats are there as is the instrument cluster (foggy). No spare. All four tires are shot.
But the darn thing is cute as a bug's ear and it didn't cost much.
This looks like a great forum; I'll be exploring it for a while but am sure to have questions - lots of questions!
