I'm afraid the time has come and gone for that, nowadsy EU law states that when a car is deemed off the road and scrapped, there is no way to buy it and put it BACK on the road. You cant even buy it to take bits n bobs off it.

I hope you dont mean that you cannot go to a scrappy and buy bits of an old car to fix another one u have on the road and using ????

So how would an official know you got your part from the scrappy ???

Nah - just said that you cant put the car back on the road or buy it off the scrapyard as scapyards arent legally allowed to let a car go out of their posetion as once its deemed scrap metal, they ahve to keep it, its not legal for soemone else to have it. It was on teh news about a year ago now. They arent supposed to sell s/h brake parts like calipers either. Oh and dampers/ springs either!
