Not the most exciting boot build, no swooping fibreglass (thank god) but I can still use the boot!

It needs a good vacumn though :)

It still needs work, the centre section will eventually be pneumatically operated and the underside needs trimming.

The sub grille needs remaking, it was done the night before a show hence the poor fit.

The front of the sub box will be finished in carbon fibre cloth to match the subs cone.

All the wiring needs tidying up! :)

very very impressive mate! really like the way it's all tucked away - and you can still use the boot!

more to the point - does it sound as good as you expected? :)

Tom, thats genius, thats what i have been trying to photoshop for the last half hour. on mine though, the amp was gonna be where your sub is, but on the other side, not in the floor

No Rob, carpet barn :) Find me another boot install that uses foam backed cord carpet ;)

So come on, lets see yours. You willy wave about your car being SOOOOOO good, now its time to put your money where your mouth is. Show us your godlike skills. (or rather the godlike skills of the guy you pay to do it for you)

No doubt you have no clue as to what amps those are or the sub that I've used.

what is that sub Tom?

in fact what does your system consist of?

I'm waiting for Ribbzy to identify all my kit as he knows so much.

Must clean that headrest, strange mark on it.

lol, these guys dont know you well enough Tom. As the biggest audiophile on this forum, this is one of those times i'd be laughing down my sleeves at Ribbz and thomas... no offence intended guys, ut this is one hornets nest best left alone... I'd put money on it that Toms got enough ice in that car that he could have bought my car with the money he spent on it

Amps are phase linear modulars, 8 channels in total for a 4 way active setup.

Front stage consists of:
Beyma PH25 metal dome tweeters
Rainbow Profi-vanadium M100 4" mids
Beyma Power 6M 6.5" midbass

Sub is an Illusion Audio Nd-12 in a 0.6cuft box.

Total useable power is just over 1kw. Total available power is 1.3kw.

No MDF used in the construction, its all 18mm birch ply so is about half the weight of an MDF install.

Very nice and tidy Tom, how much was the birch ply ?

Any pics of the front stage ?

Got the chance to listen to Tom's setup at Brooklands earlier this year and i'm no expert on music or speaker quality by a long way.
But in my humble opinion for those that have not heard it in person with the soundproofing Tom has done his system sounds flipping brilliant.

From memory £45 a sheet. B&Q now sell it in some of the warehouse branches at £35/sheet.

Thats with the old Rainbow tweets. I'm remaking the mid grilles, the shape is a bitch to model.

Experimental door build:

Those are getting binned as I keep kicking it and damaging the finish. The door cards are going to be totally binned as I near enough ruined them when I foam filled them. One leaked and the other partially imploded over the summer where the foam had left a void.

very tidy tom, does it sound better than early this year?

Its sounding better, still a few bugs to iron out as the stereo image is still different from each seat.

It could sound better.

So Ribzzy, still waiting to see pics of your amazing boot build and audio setup. You're not scared of posting pics of your car now are you? :)
