General Fiat Uno Fire car stereo dimensions

Can you tell me the maximum size of a car stereo to fit a Uno Fire ready-made slot?

I would assume the Uno would have a standard DIN size slot?

You're looking at roughly 178mm x 50mm. This is the standard single din measurement. You might get a few extra mm if you cut the inner plastic.

Thanks for the replies but what about the depth? I have a feeling it can't take a stereo with CD reader.

Plenty space at the rear. Look at this pic I took of my car. The blue box is an old amp a previous owner had installed. Once that is removed there's even more space. Depth won't be a problem.

What I thought was that a long stereo would hit that plastic piece behind (the one you see above in the pic), does it pass below instead?

I don't see why a car stereo would be that long? I had another look and there is a lot of space before a radio would touch the plastic vent. If your radio was really long you could angle it downwards... this would allow for the radio to run under the vent.

I have like 15cm of space before touching the plastic which is less than a stereo with CD reader I think. I'll try to insert a box to see if it fits.

I tried with a 15cm deep stereo and it fits pretty good, maybe a longer one could have some problem.
p.s. Do you know if adapters are needed to connect the antenna and the ISO cable?
