Fiat Stilo 1.9JTD Problems

Hi all

Not been on here since 09 as ive done ok with the car since then...

But now im facing a new problem

The car starts with no fault showing up on the dashboard. So i push the pedal to find the biting point and the rev count barely moves to 2000rpm.
The engine sounds as if theres hardly any power and itself is struggling.
Also as im tapping the pedal there is grey smoke from the exhaust.

The way ive got it to run again is by going to the floor with the pedal a few times untill it redlines and then black smoke appears.

Ive had the EGR off and cleaned. This worked for so long then BOOM it happened again:bang:

Some garages are saying its the turbo chocked up and needs cleaning, others saying the EGR

My question is. Has anyone had this problem and got it resolved?:idea:

:wave: Hi Baggaley and welcome back to the forum. I think your best bet is to head over to the Stilo section and consult the thinktank. Hopefully someone on there will be able to point you in the right direction.
