Fiat stilo 1.8 avtive 16v

Hey Lads

I am new to this forum but i was wondering if anybody would be so kind to give me advice on a fiat i am looking buy!

As the title say's.. it is a fiat stilo 1.8 active 3 door, is there any issues that i should look out for before purchasing one of these cars?

I see that on the 1.4 you should get the cam done before 36k is the 1.8 the same?

the car im looking at has done 50k and they want £1900 for it, cosmetically it's in brand spanking order

I take it no one knows then.. i'll re fraze it then.. should i buy a fiat stilo car that's done 50k and would the timing belt need done?

Hi, Welcome to the FF.

Forum etiquette is to wait 24 hours before bumping a post.

Fiat used to recommend that cam belts should be replaced at 72,000 miles, however that was changed some years ago to 50,000 miles. Unless you have concrete proof that the belt as been replaced recently, I'd advise you to get it replaced as soon as you get the car.

the garage have told me it has just been replaced and they have the docs to prove it so happy days
