fiat scudo problem

hi every one just wondering if any of you could please give me some advice,whislt i was driving my scudo tonight it overheated and now wont start.i let it cool down and got some new water then i tried to start.it turned over but it didnt feel right like it wasnt turning the engine also all the new water came out of the header tank cap think this is going to be expensive to fix just what i need before xmas if anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated
