Yep; Me.
Now lives down here in Truro.
It had been sat 10 years in a shed.
The MOT that was done in June was done by "Blind Pugh", according to my local bloke as there is a hole near where trailing arm bolted to chassis. Also, imho, brakes should never have passed, but...my local bloke told me that it was as good underneath as he had seen before. Once timing (way, way, way out) was done, points replaced, carb stripped and cleaned, and set up for 2.5 on the co2 (whatever the hell that means - I have only ever set up timing statically!) it runs pretty sweet.
Vacuum advance diaphragm was split, so vac unit is ordered and on way, which should help the running even more (vac pipe is currently blanked off).
Jobs to do are: replace most of braking system consumables - parts all assembled and awaiting dry day/day off interface; wire it off underneath and reapply waxoyl after more careful inspection; get it in for prophylactic welding in 2 small areas.
I'm really keen to keep this one going as it is nice enough and worth a lot to us as a sidekick to my Sprinter ("classic" as well!)
Oh, and I will be sorting out a radio soon and making a couple pods for speakers to go in the dash parcel hammock.
(Just posted a question about oil breather hose before I saw this thread)
