Hiya,

Just v recently purchased the above. Traded in a Mondeo ST24 as it was a bit juicy to run...

Thing is...I seem to have used more petrol this weekend than in my old Mondeo?? Car seems to be running fine etc etc but....juicy as hell?? 25quid brought me about 211miles?? Is this about right?? (I hope its not!! ;))
Was mixed driving some long distace other round town....

Overall nice car etc loads of toys, nice engine tone...but horrible fuel consumption!!!

Hmm is FiatHLX really whiterabbit's Ex....

I have considerably more mods, THAN YOU!

Yep she sure is :D

So is the 2.0 a juicy motor to run then????

from what the blokes with the similarly engined bravo's are saying, yes its a bit thirsty.

Hmm, this sort of goes against why I sold my V6.....I've actually seeminly gotten a less powerful car, which is a lot slower than my ST...which...uses more fuel??
Not a sensible purchase!! I could get 34Mpg out of my ST.....and even when I had the odd bout of driving it v hard it still never used as much fuel as this car....(Still was getting 9Mpg when I had it off the clock:- 150Mph)

Dont get me wrong, the car's v nice, handling is totally spot on!! And climate control etc etc is also a nice addition.....heh heh and yeah it does look smarter than my old car....but I brought it to save on fuel bills....now I find that I am having less fun for more money?? That cant be right :(

get a seicento m8, 29mpg when you drive it with your foot to the floor 99% of the time

Is your Marea the estate version??
It may have 1 cylinder less than the ST24 but the Marea's a bit of a lardy!

Donz - 29mpg, how the hell do you get that much ;)

Nope its the one with the boot, four door thingy......It weighs less than my old car by about half a ton! I am going to call the RAC out to it today to see if there is anything wrong with the managment system, I suspect it could be compensating for somthing? If its not and this car uses as much fuel as it does then its gonna go back to the dealers if I can manage it......
I booted it this morning, traveled about 12miles, and yeah I drove it foot to the floor quite a bit of the way.....I used a qtr of a tank!!!!! I am beginning to suspect that the car was sold with an elf or somthing and as soon as I put my foot down the little sod starts throwing petrol out the back!! :p

I thought my Mondeo was Juicy but its nothing compared to this thing!!!
