Hi everyone,
decided last weekend to get a 500 lounge on the ideal (pcp) anyway dealer (bristol street motors) has said that car is in their compound and has told me that I need to sign finance papers and return them so that he can be paid for car before he can give me a collection date.. question is, is this right as it appears that funds are released to him before ive physically seen or driven the car in the past ive always signed these papers upon collection of car thanks

That's what I have always done, likewise this time they have proposed the finance and I will pay remainder of deposit and sighn for the car upon collection

Alot of dealers will use this approach and will normally ask you to sign 3 days before you take delivery to insure the funds are released before you collect the car. Keeps the books tidy!

Though reading your post make sure you have a good drive of a test car (if your not buying new make sure you see the car) If you are buying new and its a stock car (No options) they are commonly in stock.

I'm signing all the paperwork when i pick mine up. (New factory order Twin Air Lounge).

We signed on collection. I wouldn't be signing for a car I hadn't even seen yet, personally.

Car was delivered to dealership first - I could look at it etc but didn't get to take it home until paperwork for finance had gone through - took about three days.

thanks everyone went to sort paperwork out yesterday and see the car, It looks good white with 500 side strips and 16 inch o alloys only problem is car had a small (micro 2mm at most) dent on drivers door dealer said i could leave deal or they would fix door I advised them to fix it but if it isnt fixed perfectly and completely unnoticeable then i will reject car (he has written this on the order form) cheers again
