General Fiat ducato help please

HI all im in need of some help with my fiat ducato 58 plate van, i noticed the last couple of days the lights on the dash come on abs and the handbrake light, also the rev counter and speedo drop to zero and the mileage display goes, it only lasts for a few seconds and they come back on, it dosnt do it all the time but ive noticed it happens when ive been standing in traffic, i have plugged my snap on in and its coming up with code, U1601 C-CAN line error, can someoneplease tell me how i rectify this, also after i codded it the truck wouldnt start at first, just kept turning over, but then fired up, is this a earthing issue, ? thanks in advance
