Technical Fiat ducato 2016 external temperature sensor

External temperature is not showing correct,I believe the sensor is at the bottom of the wing mirror I have mirror covers on could this be the reason why it is not correct, thanks

There should be a hole in the bottom of the Mirror Guard where the sensor is. I believe the sensor was moved within the mirror case at some time so the hole does not line up.
