Can anyone help with some advice please?

I have a Benimar motor home with a diesel Fiat Ducato 2.8 DTI base. Year of registration 2002.
The cab is extremely noisy when travelling on roads at speeds in excess of 80km/hour.
The noise can be reduced considerably when we pull and hold the cab doors manually whilst travelling, or when we tape the top section of the doors.
Someone suggested we need new rubber door seals. However, the seals look in perfect order. There are no holes or tears.

Could it be that the rubber door seals have flattened during time and therefore not as effective as they use to be? Or is this noise level typical of this type of van base /or age of van base (2002)

If it's any consolation, mine is the same, particularly on the driving door.

In my opinion, the door 'flexes' too much at the top and wind gets underneath and pulls the door slightly away from the seal.

Pulling on my drivers door handle quietens mine too.

Ducato door flexing is a well known problem, particularly on overcab coachbuilt models.

A Benimar of the same vintage that I had suffered, but not as badly as a previous Swift.

Some adjustment of the door is usually possible, the easiest being to ensure that the striker plate on the door pillar is adjusted inwards such that the door only closes with a good slam. It's surprising what difference even a small adjustment makes.

I have heard of people having the door adjusted at the hinge end, but this is more tricky for DIY.

A third method (which I couldn't get to work for me - maybe I didn't apply enough brute force :() is to wind the window down and attempt to bend the whole of the window frame of the door slightly inwards from the main door.

Striking plate adjustment was ok on one of my vans, with the other I think I'll have to put the hinge in a press. Tried bending the door (the yugo adjustment) to no avail.
