Hi folks, I have a 1966 fiat 850 Saloon that I'm importing. To make it road legal over here I will need mph dials and UK spec lights. Parts for the 850 seem thin on the ground at best. Does anyone know if any of these parts are interchangeable with the more available 500 parts?

Thanks

Jon

Evening Jon;
To the best of my knowledge, almost nothing is interchangeable from the 850 over to the 500--although I believe that people have fitted the 850 Coupe/Spyder front disc brakes over to the 500 (with a fair bit of fettling). I am not aware that a MPH speed is mandatory, as there must be quite a number of L/H/D cars in the UK that get MOT'd on a regular basis . With regard to RHD headlamps, (a) contact Tony Castle-Millar at Middle Barton Garage--if any-body knows where to get them he will be the man, or (b) measure the size of the headlamps and then get hold of the catalogue from 'Car Builder Solution' they have a large range of head-lamps and will send you a catalogue foc. It may be that you have to find some (possibly 2nd hand) RHD head-lamps of the same size and swap lenses. I believe that the head-lamp size is 170mm (6-13/16s)--hope all this helps

The speedometer on our car reads in Kmh only and has passed the MOT without any problems.

I have however made a small red mark on the speedometer to make sure I don't accidentally exceed the speed limit on motorways.

(Just kidding........)
