Nice one, looks quite tidy compared to my bay!

hope it all run's well for you!

Ry

good job mate that, one thing i noticed though... you said it had the cambelt done but looking at the tensioner it looks a bit past it or is that a pic of the old engine??

the cambelt tensioner never got replaced, only the belt..i did ask why when i picked the engine up but he said its a low mileage engine so he just put a new belt on it,timed it all up an got it rerunnin in his car before scrappin it..
If i had more funds i would have bought 1 an fitted it prior to fittin..everythin else i replaced.
End of the day tensioners are made to last years anyhow.so im sure this engine will last me 6 month lol

been there done that, get it replaced ASAP!

remember my aux belt snapped and caused my cambelt to jump back at xmas? that was why.

Ry

aye as said, the aux belts go not the actual cambelt ive never herd of the belt going its more a case of the tensioner failing

I bought those, got drayco belts and the tensioner :)
Think the car will last me ages :)
When i got the car,my sis'fella never serviced it or **** all lol he just drove it..Its been about 5 year since my car got made (old belts still looked new) so i think it did me well the whole year an half i had it on road of thrashin it around :D

Okay Mike, but when the tensioner fails and the belt jumps teeth, dont say we didnt warn you.

Ry

i understand what yous are sayin as ive read up on the services, but like i say only had so much funds,if money wasnt a problem i would have replaced that aswell...ill get it replaced soon as me an my mate both knew it didnt look good lol

Mike.

..

Sorry for sounding Dumb but what engine did you have in before and what did you change it for??
Thanks

to begin with in 1997 the car was a 1.4 12v..In 1994 it got converted to a 2l 20v from a marea weekend..everythin got thrown in,rear beams,discs,front subframes,arb drop links etc etc
basically a fiat marea in abravo shell lol

i meant in 2004 not 1994* that it converted lol
the guy who built it is a mechanic and has a garage and a marea that he was scrappin...so he an his mates decided to throw it all into the bravo and stick a kit on it paint it up.
