I've bought the fascia adapter for the Panda so I can fit a new head unit, and out of preference I'd like the HU to go in the bottom slot. I've swapped the oddities tray around into the top slot. Just wondering if there's anything in that would restrict me putting a HU in the bottom slot in terms of depth? I popped the factory HU out recently and had a look, remember seeing something there but not sure if it will affect it?

I have my Sony single din unit in the lower slot and have a tray in the upperslot.

no problems what so ever, its better in the bottom slot as its supported behind the dash HTH 
Excellent! I think I would have found it annoying in the top slot, doesn't look right.
