Going to do my rear shocks today. so before i make a mess of it. The upper mounting bolt, 15mm deep socket taped to an extention bar yeah? Is there a nut on the other side of it, or is it just a threaded hole in the chassis?

Yup, threaded into the chassis. A normal 15mm socket will do. The tape just makes sure you can get it out again.

There should be a plastic sleeve in the hole so you can't drop anything into the chassis rail so make sure its there!
