I'm thinking of a cat replacer, but i've been told that i could go get a cat from a scraper and pull out all the gubbins and that would work, any ideas, and do you think removing the cat would make much differnce to a 1.2

It won't do a huge deal to the power, a few HP, the main difference will be to MPG.

You've gotta remember that your ECU is setup to run a standard engine. Any changes will just result in the engine running lean.

Personally I can't see the point of cats on small engines, they take 10-15% off your MPG. The issue is your car will be un-insured if you remove it and could get into deep **** if you have a smash.
