it is a home made polisher (electric motor with a spindal) that i used with a hard stich 1/2" mop,
Before i moped it i gave it a go over with a scotch bright mop. the compound i used was very light (it was for polishing brass)
I did get some course compound approx 100 grit but not had time to have another go at it,
what ever you use dont be afraid to have a good go at it, the covers are fairly pitted.
it is very hard work and very dirty, i sort of like doing it
