Basically on the lowering kit on my car ive noticed that on the rear shockers the bottom bushes have started to crack and the paint on all four shcokers is flacking of and they are rusting, the suspension also feels harder lately and the handling doesnt feel as good although my dad thinks im imagineing it

Just wonderd if anyone else has the problems listed as i know a few people have had apex and if so what did you do about in other words can they send replacements to fit on the car so you can send the faulty ones back

If you mean the bottoms of the shocks are rusty where they mount then that happens with all of them cos they are constantly getting all the crap from the road on them. My shocks have plastic sleeves which cover the chrome damper part and most of the shock, see pics in link in my sig.

I polish and clean them up every fortnight or so and clean the adjuster and cover it with vaseline to stop it seizing.

so im the only one with problems of rusting then, great looked again today and the fronts are even more rusty, my dad keeps telling me to contact APex but my thinking is there only going to believe theres anything wrong if other people have had the problems.

What do people think i should do last time i rang larkspeed they said "Your guarantee is with APEX not with us so you will need to contact them personally"

With most things you buy your guarentee is with the place you bought it from unless it is beyond the normal "fit for purpose" laws.

you'd take it to Larkspeed who would then replace. They then deal with Apex

Right rang Larkspeed today and was told that all the paint flaking off is wear and tear and therefore not covered under the guarantee when i said they were rusting heavily he said that i would need to take them off the car and send the shockers to them and they would send them to APEX to be tested and whatever their decision is what decides wheather they be replaced but while there testing them i wont be able to use my car because of no suspension :chin:

Aparently the guarantee only covers for instance if a shocker suddenly failed while in a country lane which means its a manufacturing fault therefore under guarantee

So basically they wont do anything and im gonna have to paint them which is bloody brilliant considering how much i payed for them i knew i should have gone for Spax:bang:
