get your porky pies here

Acceleration: (0-62) 9.8s.

from a 1.4s please do me a favour, lets just call it poetic license or over egging your pudding

Re: 9.8s

I've timed it, over and over again, and it averages around 9.8s. I'm only 9½st, maybe that's why.. but that's definately correct.

I'm selling the car because I'm getting sh*te Mpg. 23mpg I had on the journey to Santapod.
I'm gonna get another Bravo prolly. :)

Re: get your porky pies here

lol, **** off popeye :D jk.

I told ya that I was putting it on E-bay when we was in the pub :) I'm definately gonna have to get another Bravo tho. Just realised who made the first post. hehe.

Re: Re: get your porky pies here

I also had a Punto, 75Sx a little bit before the Bravo, just for your 'information' Anon, the 0-62 on that was around 10.3s with me driving. So either my phone can't count proper seconds or I rag the car.

Re: Re: Re: get your porky pies here

Just wondoring, do you have any engine mods???
Cant understand that your 1,4 is quicker than my 1,6

Well the time from fiat for a 1,6 is 11 secs, i know it might be quicker than that. When i timed it myself i got around 10 secs, but i dont believe that to be accurat in any way.

Re: Re: Re: get your porky pies here

Nope no engine mods at all.

What size wheels do you have?

Re: Re: Re: Re: get your porky pies here

i have 15", so shouldn't be a problem

Re: Re: Re: Re: get your porky pies here

Hrm, even with my 17's on my 0-60 is about 13s.

Maybe that's why I'm getting 18mpg? lol.

lets compare

Perform & Consump Cyl/CC BHP MPH 0-60 MPG

Your 1.4 4/1370 80 ? 9.8 ?
Fiat 1.4 4/1370 80 106 13.8 39.4
Fiat 2.0 HGT 5/1998 147 130 8.5 29.4
Citroen 1.6i VTR 4/1587 90 116 9.3 36.7

Come your using your mobile phone stopwatch as you drive the car and you think that's accurate - LMAO.

Come on mate, you seriously think your car is 4 seconds quicker!!, allowing for buying a good car that's been run in well and with a few mods, you would be bloody lucky to break 11 secs.

I think you should admit that there's a good chance you may be a bit out, either that or your car is as near as damit as fast as a VTR.

..

Maybe so, but not 4 seconds out. I know how fast my car is and It's sub 10 seconds.

Re: ..

Looks like i better sell my car then cause the extra 23 bhp arent doing me any good apparently

Re: ..

I have to say folks that timing ur 0-60 times on any sort of manual clock will be really innacurate. Even the speedo on ur car isn't perfect. I always thought my 1.8 did 60 in 2nd gear at around 9 secs. Oh was i wrong. Had the car checked with a GPS testing device, like they use on race cars an the like (it came from a VERY reputable company as well ;)) Did 2 0-60 runs, got a 10.2 sec and a 9.3 sec. This was with 2 peeps in the car inc. me and all my sound system, and trust me i was giving it death!!! Has to be said though my speedo read 60 just b4 it actually was at 60, the 3rd gear change added a bit of time therefore!!! I've got the printout ere, just not online! Highest G was 0.5 in 2nd gear:) Anyways, just pointing out that you have to take any manual readings with a pinch of salt! No offence meant to anyone as tempers seem to be thin on ere at the mo!!!

explaining ians excellent time:

0 - 62 KILOMETERS per hour: 9.8 seconds :)

Re: explaining ians excellent time:

VTR's suck ass anyway the 1.6 16v has 3 more bhp, my friend has one and we are always thrashing about, i win from the lights every time but round corners my rear end tends to slip and he just flys on by
