are these any good? and are they easy to fit? - is it just plug and go? and does it have to be from fiat or can i use one from a shop?

Yes they are good and very easy to fit, as you said just plug and go. I bought mine off a website for around £50 all in. Can't remember the web address but I'll try and find now and post back. David.
 
Just found the link in my favorites but it looks like the site is closed down. DOH! anyone else now of anywhere that this cheaper than fiat?

Yes, they are dead eay to fit and make life much easier. Although on the face of it the Fiat parts are more expensive, they do supply two key fobs. The cheaper kits only give you one fob.

I've got a Fiat kit and I paid about £55 for it two years ago. The fob I use is beginning to show its age, as the button has worn down, and the rubber strap is begining to crack. However, its still on its original battery! (And when it eventually falls to bits, I've got the second pristine fob to use - that should see out the life of the car!)
