car put in for mot...and it failed. tracking rod ends and brake pipes...how much do u reckon that should cost? ive been quoted 290 for parts and labour and retest which i thought was reasonable.

not to sad. did they say which pipes need replacing? if its nly a little one then its a bit steep.

when i took mine i got told the brake pipes are coroding abouve the fuel tank and that they will need replacing soon

dont know if u guys remember a post about my car pulling to the left...im assuming this was prob the track rod ends...

Renewing trackrod ends is easy enough if you have a ball joint splitter. Take off the wheel, slacken the trackrod end locknut and mark it with paint to align with the track rod. undo the ball joint nut then use the spliter, pull it off the hub carrier then unscrew the t/r end. screw on the new one up to the locknut and tighten the locknut.Screw on the balljoint retaining nut. have tracking checked at garage
