The last day or two my mp3 cd player has been displaying the word 'failure' on its display when im playin one of my mp3 cds! The cd has also started to skip slightly on a couple of songs.

Once changing the track the word 'failure' disappears and everything is back to normal....then it happens minutes later!

You reckon the cd has had it? There are no visible scratches!

Its a blank cd and i have loads of em, but im lazy! Just wanted to ask for your opinions.

Also a few of the members has the same headunit sony f7700 cd/mp3 player so this is also like a little adverse warning if this occurs!

Cheers everyone (y)

does the cd play ok before?, could it be a varible bit rate mp3?, maybe the HU cant process it?, I've had no probs wit my mp3 HU but not sure if i have tried a VBR MP3

The problem worsened today, so put in another mp3 cd ive made and that worked fine, so it is the cd that is at the problem, cant understand it tho, there are no scratches on it. One of lifes little mysteries i guess :p

And Yes i am that damn lazy :p

The cd probably has imperfections or a slight problem when it was being burned or something, nothing to worry about a cd costs like 2p! lol

Liam

It was the cd that was the problem rather then the cd player

I might add that the cd player i use is excellent, and would get every time :D

I made a new cd yesterday, it took 6 mins to do using nero express (old)

You reckon i should download updated version cos 6 mins is a long time....and i was off somewhere!!

on my fone, mite upload em, not decided yet, anyway u was a rare person to see em!!
