I thought I had problems before but that's a totally bust wheel now. Just had to be towed back home with the car on top of a recovery vehicle  A crater on a B-road got me and I had no-where to go as there was another car on the other side of the road

I tell ya, this time the council are paying :angry::angry:

I need to buy a spare wheel for the car!

take phots of the pot hole before they fil it as thats what they like to do when something like that happens

One of the first things I did when I got home was arrange a lift for tomorrow morning to get a picture of it. However there's so many of them round here waiting to be filled that I would be extremely unlucky if Aberdeenshire council filled it in before I got there.

Mind you with my current run of luck....

just take a pic of the biggest one you can find if the council have already got to it, they dont know where you were ;)

bit of a bummer tho, im not looking forwardto getting the cav on the road while they are in this state

they are horrendous here too, i have to drive like im drunk, swerving all over the road (when theres nobody on it of course) to avoid all the potholes. when i cant miss them i try to get as little of the tyre on them as possible.

all well and good in the daytime, at night i cant see anything with my headlights, so its a game of hit and hope :(

The annoying thing is I only took that road as I thought the bumpy unclassified road I normally use wasn't doing my tyres any good

The roads from here to Dyce are a bloody disgrace.

What's more of an insult are the signs out on Riverside Drive in Dyce. That road should be SHUT or fixed NOW!

/rant

right, i dont see the signs being an insult, yes they are there coz the council wont afford to fix the bloody roads but at least they are warning drivers of the hazards ahead, imagine how pissed off you would have been if the signs werent there and you were typing out the message that Harper has just done??!!

we've been told that none of the potholes in Dundee are getting fixed this year. council apparently has no money after the winter gritting.

basicly its a case of, if your car gets damaged....tough titty :(

Dunno about that, I was down there a couple of weeks ago, we stayed at the glasgow pond? on Great Western Road? and the taxi into town at night was like a ride in Alten towers with all the swerving and dipping in and out of holes :(

South Ayrshire Councill have done Sweet FA about all the pot holes in and around my village.

Had to take a different route home last night for 2 reasons.

1) There was a huge que to get onto my part of the A77
2) I can't sit in traffic beacuse my engine will overheat (Don't ask!)

So went down the back road from Troon to Symington and didn't see a pothole as there was so many puddells.
Kerrix Road from the A78/A79 Roundabout to Symington is even worse, can't avoid the potholes no matter how much you try.

Not seen (or felt for that matter) any potholes round Ming's area!

Got the pictures taken this morning.

Pothole is 3" deep at that point

Looking at the last picture I'm wondering if I could have avoided the damn thing but at 60mph with a car on the other side of the road it would have been a close thing and a lot worse if I'd got it wrong

Just waiting to hear from the garage and hoping it's tyre only and I've not damaged anything structural

Has anyone noticed drains sinking into the roads to?? similiar type of thing, these bloody loads where i stay. I've never said
"oh s*** so many times in ma car as i've entered into soo many potholes to its a nightmare!. Edinburgh is particularly bad, trams works? they should spend the money on the flipin!!!! roads. Rant over lol.

Yeah i'd of done the same, going 60mph plus u'd want to be away from oncoming cars, thats quite a bad one i must admit looking at the pic.

fk me, thats some hole aint it!!

The ones I have been moaning about have nothing on that one lol

Just heard from the garage and I need a new wheel (surprise, surprise). I've asked them to check the car thoroughly for any other damage as no doubt I've knackered the suspension too.

Reported it to Aberdeenshire council and they're sending out a claim form.
