Hi.

I have just bought an abarth spoiler, and was just looking at the pictures of when you fitted yours.

I have a couple of questions, if you don't mind.

1) Was yours an official FIAT spoiler.
2) If it was, is the black finish to it a primer coat or do you have to prime it first.
3) Was it Sikaflex that you used to glue it on with.

I am thinking of fitting mine myself, but need to know these things first.

If you can help then cheers.

Im not Dan, but I think I can help. :)

If the spoiler is an original Fiat Abarth then the black plastic doesent need priming - putt the paint on it, they told me so when
I did my front bumper.
Yes he used something like sikaflex that he got from a mate

Thanks Sven

Anybody else got any experience of fitting the abarth spoiler.

I have conflicting imformation about whether to prime it or not.

Also, what type of sikaflex do i need, and where do i get it from.

This is so odd, I swear I replied to this post as soon as it was posted :(

anyways.

1. No, its from gxauto.co.uk

2. it was black yes but because my car is a light colour the paint would have come out to dark so I used a light coloured primer as a base.

3. I used sikaflex that I got from a mate in a sealant style tube and gun. just pack it up with plenty and hold it in place whilst you hold it on with masking tape etc. thats what I did. leave it to dry and set over night.
