exhausted !!!!!!!

Ive had a sportex twin 3inch pipe on the car for last 5 years..its time to get a new exhaust. Obviously im 5 years older and priorties change. Really dont want another mega loud exhaust but fiat want 300 for a standard and sportex come in at 180. Does anyone have any other ideas ? dont really want to pay 300 plus for an exhaust.

I just had the same problem replacing the exhaust on my HGT..

Quoted £352 inc for a cat back system, and then another £130+VAT for the cat itself !!

I opted for the Sportex system @£159 plus and got a cat for £120 all in...

Tis a bit loud, and the missus not keen on it, but certainly makes her pull better..lol

I'm currently going through the same dilemna.
Need to replace mine as its blowing but dont want a chavved up over the top loud one.
But i do want something that looks nicer than the standard tail.
Is there no way you can put a sportex on but have a silencer put on it some how?
(im talking with no expereince of exhaust systems at all)??

Lee.... will let you know - this is my next option if no1 wants my exhaust - will take a look 2morrow and take some pics - will uploads pic of what I can find and let you know mate.


The sportex only gets louder once warm - for the first 20miles it's great.... after that if you go above 60mph it's also fine. below that it's only amazing in a tunnel - or if you want to be 17 again and blast through town!
