General Exhaust noise:??

Hi
I just had the head gasket repaced in im 1.0ie '93, there is now a noise form the exhaust when under acceleration, like there is a small hole somewhere, the noise is only present under hard acceleration? Any ideas of common faults? noise was not there prior to gasket replacement.

Uh-huh...
The most common source of noise is the gasket where the exhaust manifold attaches to the first piece of the exhaust piping. Easily fixed, but you will need 13 mm socket with long extension piece for comfortable disassembly/reassembly.
