General exhaust mounting question

hi all

ive just got a brand new 4" slash cut exhaust for my little cinq (a bit ott i know, but i won it for a fiver so i couldnt resist). my question is about the way i want to mount it, im thinking of putting a 4 1/2" hole in the centre of the bumper to poke it through and surrounding the hole with a heat shield to neaten it up and stop the bumper melting. Has anyone else tried to do this? if so, how do i mount the exhaust to the car solidly?.

what i have done with my punto, i cut off the mount off the standered back box and welded it onto the bigger back box in the same place fits into the bushes no probs

im hoping its as straight forward on my cinq as it was on your punto

no probs mate just be carfull when you go down or over speed bumps if i go too quick it sometimes scrapes the exhaust but part from that your sound mate
