In the second lot of photos, it looks like the front exhaust bracket has come out of the rubber support, which is probably why it broke in the first place. At least if you put that back in, there is less risk of it catching on the ground and ripping the whole system off.
Yeah I'll get it checked on Monday, have a long drive this weekend unfortunately! Hope it will be ok

drove it 3 hours very hard. Car managed fine, coolant fell like 250 ml though, don’t know if it’s related or if it’s my radiator giving up. Can’t see any leaks from the bottom of the car and temp gauge was fine. Will update! It’s proper noisy !

Car might be running leaner and hotter due to lack of back pressure making coolant hotter and possibly exaggerating any minor leaks or points of escape Id get it done asap mate. (every extra mile you drive also risks a chat with a plod!) and a contribution to there tea fund(n):cry:

Yeah makes sense. I'll top up the coolant before I drive it again and get it fixed! Car felt super hot, but temperature gauge was ok. Also I shouldn't have driven it too hard to be honest = ). I may end up changing the radiator as well anyway, it's been slightly leaking for months.

Thanks for the advice, really appreciate it!

hope it goes well and isn't to expensive if you change the radiator might be worth popping on a new thermostat whilst the systems drained down!"

Just put 500ml of coolant in and drove it 30 miles without going over 4,000 rpm no overheating so I think I will be ok for a bit until I take it to the mechanic

I’ll keep an eye on the coolant level and not redline it for now

Yeah I think this is quite obvious what happened. Anyway car is leaking coolant about 250 ml per 2 hours of driving so will deal with it. At least it won’t blow up any time soon while I keep on topping it up with coolant.

Don’t worry that liquid isn’t coolant it’s water from the ac condenser it’s 35c in Athens! I just smelt it to make sure

Ok at the exhaust shop now he said he would replace the broken part for 80 euros. He also recommended I change the catalytic converter for another 250 euros but I decided against it.

Will deal with the radiator at another time my car mechanic is on holiday I think!
