Yeah I'll get it checked on Monday, have a long drive this weekend unfortunately! Hope it will be okIn the second lot of photos, it looks like the front exhaust bracket has come out of the rubber support, which is probably why it broke in the first place. At least if you put that back in, there is less risk of it catching on the ground and ripping the whole system off.
Car might be running leaner and hotter due to lack of back pressure making coolant hotter and possibly exaggerating any minor leaks or points of escape Id get it done asap mate. (every extra mile you drive also risks a chat with a plod!)drove it 3 hours very hard. Car managed fine, coolant fell like 250 ml though, don’t know if it’s related or if it’s my radiator giving up. Can’t see any leaks from the bottom of the car and temp gauge was fine. Will update! It’s proper noisy !
Yeah makes sense. I'll top up the coolant before I drive it again and get it fixed! Car felt super hot, but temperature gauge was ok. Also I shouldn't have driven it too hard to be honest = ). I may end up changing the radiator as well anyway, it's been slightly leaking for months.Car might be running leaner and hotter due to lack of back pressure making coolant hotter and possibly exaggerating any minor leaks or points of escape Id get it done asap mate. hope it goes well and isn't to expensive if you change the radiator might be worth popping on a new thermostat whilst the systems drained down!"Yeah makes sense. Thanks for the advice, really appreciate it!
