Looks like another tournament we won't be heading for! :( Surely spain will win this hands down?!

Scotland have been drawn in the same Euro 2012 qualifying group as holders Spain.

They will also face the Czech Republic, Liechtenstein and Lithuania.
There are 14 places available alongside the co-hosts Poland and Ukraine, for the tournament which runs from 8 June to 1 July.

Scotland's group presents a daunting first challenge for new manager Craig Levein, who said before the draw that he would love to face England.
"It's exciting, especially with Spain coming out of the hat," said Levein, who will head to a meeting in Madrid with the four other nations to agree on dates for the qualifiers.

"I am pretty sure that the Scotland fans will be looking forward to Spain coming to Hampden and to a little holiday over there.

"It is no secret that Spain should be favourites to win the group if they play as they can but it might be easier in a five-team group to get that second place.

"We need to get some momentum between now and then, if we can do that then we are more than capable of causing problems for everyone in the group. We are in with a fighting chance."

i honestly believe its a decent draw

the lithuania and lichtenstein games are must wins home and away of course. anything less than 12pts in total there and its pointless contemplating much else imo.

That said, I can see us beating the czechs at Hampden tbh...maybe even snatching a point away to them!, they really arent what they used to be imo.

Spain? write off the away game, anything better than a 4-0 defeat is a bonus for goal difference, any points would just be a miracle there.

At hampden? a points do-able but shouldnt be expected. if we take care of the two L's home and away and beat the czechs at hampden, we wont be far away from qualifying imo, no matter what happens against spain home and away, and the czechs away.

Im not though, im saying if we are to qualify, thats what we should be looking at. We should beat both at hampden, and being realistic, although they are no mugs we should also beat lichtenstein away. If we are to drop points from those two teams, lithuania away is the tricky one where we may drop something.

If we do, we will have to beat the czechs at hampden and get at leas 2 more points from spain and the czechs away. Thats not impossible, but bloody hard!

So 12points isnt expected from those two L games, but it is realistic to say we probably need them if we are serious about qualifying.
